Author: Ayushi Chouhan

Introduction: Swiggy, Zomato, EatSure, and Uber Eats are leading online food delivery platforms in India that have revolutionized the way people dine. These platforms connect customers with a vast network of restaurants, offering a diverse range of cuisines and convenient delivery services.

Objective: To find out if there are significant differences in the preferences (ratings) for the online shopping platforms Swiggy, Zomato, EatSure, Uber Eats.

Data Collection:

We collected preference ratings between 1 and 10, 1 being least preferable and 10 being highest favorable, for the following online food delivery platforms: Swiggy, Zomato, EatSure, and Uber Eats, from 27 students. We then analyzed these 4 variables using ANOVA to compare the mean preference ratings among the different platforms.

Null Hypothesis(HO): There is no significant difference in the average ratings between the four online food delivery platforms Swiggy, Zomato, EatSure, and Uber Eats. All are the same.

Alternate Hypothesis(H1): There is a significant difference in the average ratings between at least one pair of the four online food delivery platforms Swiggy, Zomato, EatSure, and Uber Eats. Any one of them is different.

According to the ANOVA – Table 1, the P value is 4.20, which is greater than the significance level (0.05). This  indicates that we would accept the null hypothesis and reject the alternative hypothesis.

Conclusion

As we accept the null hypothesis and reject the alternate hypothesis we can state that there is sufficient evidence to conclude that all the online food delivery platforms have the same  average rating. Therefore all are the same.
