Introduction 

My research is get the insights of the intriguing realm of “Student Perception towards Public Transportation in Mumbai.” This study aims to comprehend the attitudes, preferences, and challenges that students in Mumbai associate with the public transportation system. By examining these perceptions, we can gain valuable insights into enhancing the usability, efficiency, and overall appeal of public transit, contributing to the sustainable urban development of this vibrant metropolis.

 

Objective of Study

To assess the factors influencing student preferences and satisfaction with public transportation in Mumbai.

 

Literature review

This literature review explores the multifaceted perceptions of Mumbai’s student population towards public transportation. Through an analysis of existing research, it delves into factors influencing attitudes, including convenience, affordability, safety, and environmental concerns, offering insights into strategies for enhancing public transport adoption among students in this bustling urban context.

 

Data Collection

In order to draw conclusions about the study, we collected responses from 100 students of KBS using a questionnaire to understand their perceptions. By personally administering the survey, we aimed to gather accurate data. To analyze the collected data, the population mean method was employed, allowing us to derive insights about the entire student population’s perceptions. we use Likert scale to collect response.

Students feel public transportation is convenient. 

Students feel public transport time save there time than private transport.

Students assure public transport is well maintained.

Students have neutral felling about fulfilment of there need with public transport.
