By acknowledging and tackling these issues, the quality and effectiveness of college summer internships can be significantly enhanced, preparing students for a smoother transition from academia to the workforce.

2: Navigating Challenges in College Summer Internships: A Qualitative Study:

Smith et al. (2023) highlight the need for comprehensive orientation programs and mentorship to facilitate interns’ acclimatization to the workplace. The study emphasizes the significance of curricular alignment with industry demands to better prepare students. Collaboration between academic institutions and host organizations is vital to address these issues and create more fruitful internship experiences. By acknowledging and addressing these challenges, stakeholders can enhance the effectiveness of college summer internships and contribute to the professional growth of students.

To achieve this, a Likert scale survey was conducted, and the following questions were asked:

1. I am happy with my internship.

2. I have got supportive subordinate.

3. I have learnt corporate knowledge.

4. I have learnt how to communicate with client

5. I have found it difficult to understand the process.

Data Collection:

A survey questionnaire was designed with questions related to students experience from college SIP. The Likert scale was used to gather responses from the students, ranging from “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree.” The questions aimed to assess the students’ experiences from the college summer internship. A random sample of 100 college students was selected to participate in the survey to ensure a representative representation of the student population.

Data Analysis:

Upon completing the survey, the collected data was subjected to statistical analysis. The mean, standard deviation (SD), and standard error (SE) were calculated for each survey question (Q1–Q5). The mean represents the average response on the Likert scale, while the standard deviation provides a measure of the variability in the responses.

Hypothesis Testing:

To test the hypotheses, a significance level of 0.05 (95% confidence level) was chosen. The critical value for a two-tailed test at a 95% confidence level is Z = 1.96. Z value was calculated based on the mean, standard error.
