Introduction

This study analyzes the popularity and perception of four well-known women cricketers based on ratings. The players selected are Harmanpreet Kaur, Ellyse Perry, Smriti Mandhana, and Amelia Kerr.

Objective

To determine which cricketer is most preferred among  based on ratings.

Literature Review

Kumar (2020) examined consumer preference studies and highlighted that individual perception is influenced by performance consistency, brand image, and media exposure. The study emphasizes the role of quantitative analysis in identifying preference trends among respondents.

Sharma (2019) focused on sports branding research, explaining how athletes’ popularity is shaped not only by performance but also by endorsements, public engagement, and social media presence. The study suggests that perception plays a critical role in ranking athletes.

Data Collection

A survey of 40 students was conducted using Google Forms. Each rated four players on a scale of 1–10. Total responses: 160.

Conclusion

There is no statistically significant difference among the ratings of the four players, as the F-value is less than the critical value and P-value is greater than 0.05.
