Introduction:
Sleep is an essential factor for maintaining students’ physical health and improving their academic performance. Adequate sleep helps students stay focused, enhances memory, and increases productivity in their studies. However, many college students experience irregular sleep patterns due to academic workload, stress, and increased use of mobile phones. Late-night study habits and excessive screen time often reduce the quality and duration of sleep. Therefore, understanding students’ sleep habits is important to analyze how sleep affects their concentration and overall academic performance.

Prasad found that poor sleep quality and irregular sleep patterns can negatively affect students’ academic performance and concentration. Similarly, research conducted by J. Panda and M. K. Tiwari showed that academic pressure, stress, and excessive mobile phone usage often lead to irregular sleep schedules among college students. These studies suggest that maintaining healthy sleep habits is essential for improving students’ well-being and academic success.
