Relationship of Nifty 50 with Vedanta Limited

Introduction
This study examines the relationship between the returns of Vedanta Limited and the NIFTY 50 index. The purpose is to understand whether market movements significantly influence the stock returns of Vedanta Limited.
Data Analysis
Vedanta Limited Returns = −0.7430 + 0.0000319 (NIFTY 50)
The regression analysis is based on 48 weekly observations. The beta coefficient is positive but extremely weak and statistically insignificant. The R-square value of 0.000037 indicates negligible explanatory power. The F-statistic and its significance value confirm that the overall regression model is statistically insignificant.
