Poor Time Management in Student Life

Introduction
Time management is a crucial skill for students, yet many struggle to use their time effectively. Poor time management leads to stress, missed deadlines, and reduced academic performance. Students often find themselves procrastinating or cramming at the last minute, which affects their learning. Understanding the causes and effects of poor time management is essential for improving academic success.
Objective
The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of poor time management on students’ academic performance. It focuses on difficulties in planning study time, meeting deadlines, and managing exam preparation. By understanding these issues, better strategies can be developed to help students manage their time effectively.
Literature Review
Anderson and Brown (2021) studied the effects of poor time management on student stress levels, finding that students who struggle with time management experience higher academic pressure. Similarly, Patel and Singh (2020) found that procrastination and last-minute studying negatively impact learning retention and overall academic success.
Data Collection
For the above problem we framed 5 questions on the Likert scale, and we approached 100 students of Kohinoor Business School with the google form with the answers strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree, they were coded as 5,4,3,2,1, so that the hypothesized mean is 3.
Q1: I struggle with time management.
Q2: I can’t plan my study time well.
Q3: I run out of time for assignments.
Q4: I study at the last minute.
Q5: I mismanage time during exams.
