Introduction

       As we know Dove, Liril , Lux , Santoor are well known soaps in INDIA

DOVE– Dove soap is a brand of skincare products known for its moisturizing formula. It contains a quarter of moisturizing cream and comes in various variants for different skin types. Dove is hypoallergenic and often recommended for sensitive skin. It has a mild fragrance, is widely available, and is part of the “Real Beauty” advertising campaign promoting self-confidence. In addition to soap bars, Dove offers a range of skincare products like body washes and lotions.

LUX – Lux is a well-known brand of soap and other personal care products. Lux soap is known for its fragrant and luxurious lather. It comes in various scents and formulations to suit different preferences. Lux is owned by Unilever and is available in many countries worldwide. The brand often uses celebrities in its advertising campaigns to emphasize its luxurious image.

LIRIL– Liril soap is a popular Indian brand known for its refreshing lime and lemon fragrance. It was launched in 1974 by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and offers various soap variants and shower products. Liril is recognized for its vibrant packaging and memorable advertising campaigns. It’s widely available in India and often considered an affordable choice for a revitalizing bath. SANTOOR -Santoor is a popular brand of soap primarily sold in India. It is known for its unique blend of sandalwood and turmeric, which is believed to offer skincare benefits. Santoor soap is marketed as a skin-friendly and moisturizing option, suitable for everyday use. It’s available in various sizes and is recognized for its long-lasting and pleasant fragrance. Over the years, Santoor has become one of the leading soap brands in India.

 

Objective– To compare the grade of  four soaps.

Data Collection– 25 Students of Kohinoor Business School, Kurla were asked to give grade for four soaps – Dove, Lux, Liril, Santoor

Calculated F (0.05,3DF,96DF) = 9.21

Tabulated F (0.05,3DF,96DF) = 2.69

As Calculated F (9.21) is more than Tabulated F (2.69), Reject H0 & Accept H1 which means any one of them is different.
