INTRODUCTION – The topic of “Personal Fitness and Exercise Habits” revolves around gaining insights from individuals’ direct experiences with exercise and physical activity. Through this survey, we aim to understand how exercise influences participants’ daily lives, their motivations for engaging in physical fitness, the challenges they encounter, and their preferences when it comes to workout routines.
OBJECTIVE – This survey aims to analyze how different exercise routines affect personal fitness and gain a deeper understanding of individual exercise habits.
LITERATURE REVIEW –
The Mental Health Benefits of Exercise.
Lawrence Robinson says Regular exercise has been shown to have positive effects on mental health. It can reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression by releasing endorphins, the brain’s feel-good chemicals. Physical activity also promotes better sleep, increases self-esteem, and boosts cognitive function. Engaging in exercise can be a valuable tool for maintaining overall mental well-being and improving mood.
How to Start Exercising and Stick to It.
Jeanne Segal says that how to begin an exercise routine and maintain consistency. It emphasizes setting achievable goals, finding activities you enjoy, creating a schedule, enlisting social support, and gradually increasing intensity. The authors highlight the importance of staying motivated and overcoming barriers to exercise to establish a long-term fitness routine.
DATA COLLECTION – Based on the above problem, following questions were asked to students of Kohinoor Business School based on “Likert scale”.
- I regularly engage in physical exercise.
- I find exercise enjoyable and rewarding.
- I experience motivated to continue exercising regularly.
- I prefer exercising indoor rather than outdoor activities.
- I set realistic and achievable fitness goals for myself.
100 students were surveyed. For each question: Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error and Z were calculated.

REPORT – Agree, Experiencing Personal Fitness and Understanding Excercise Habits is important because it promotes better health, longer life, increased energy, improved mental well-being, enhanced productivity, positive social interactions, disease prevention, stress management, and a positive body image, all of which contribute to a higher quality of life and overall well-being.
CONCLUSION –
- Students regularly engage in physical exercise.
- Students find exercise enjoyable and rewarding.
- Students feel motivated to continue exercising regularly.
- Students prefer exercising indoor rather than outdoor activities.
- Students set realistic and achievable fitness goals for themselves.
