Title : Relationship of Sonata with Nifty
Author: Supriya patil
Introduction: Sonata provides modernization services using its proprietary Platformation approach. It specializes in cloud and data modernization, Microsoft Dynamics Modernization, Digital contact center setup and management, managed cloud services and digital transformation services.
Objective: Calculation of Beta of Sonata software and significance
Literature Review:
1. Social Network :- Performance results show that SONATA improves crowdsensing utility under light and moderate arrival rates of sensing task requests when less than 7% of the users are malicious whereas crowdsensing utility is significantly improved under all task arrival rates if the ratio of malicious users to the entire population is at least 7%.(Kantarci &et al, 2016)
2.Total Cost of Ownership:- This paper analyzes the sales of YF SONATA HEV and K5 HEV, which account for 85% of the domestic HEV market, compared to gasoline engine versions of the same models from Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) viewpoint.(Lee* & Kwon, 2020.)
Data Collection :- Data was collected from NSE site from 1st April2022 to 31st March 2023, then data was manipulated from Friday closing price and weekly returns were calculated. Weekly return of Nifty is considered X, weekly return of Sonata software company is considered Y, Y was regressed on X.
Data Analysis :- Sonata returns= 0.83+1.04* Nifty Returns
(t-stat 3.56)
N=49, R-square=0.21, F=12.67, Significance =0.0008
Result:-The above equation shows the relationship between X and Y. Positive sign means X rises and Y also rises. In this equation B=1.05 if X rises 1 unit demand will also increase (Y) 1.04 units. F(t-stat for b) it is more than the table value so b is the statistically significant of 5% significance level. R-square is 0.21 which means 21% of Y is explained by X, similarly F is 12.67 which is also more than table value means over all model is statistically significant at 5% level.
Conclusion:- Here Beta is more than 1 so it is good for short term investment.
