Introduction- Many people used mobile phones for long hours every day. This study looked at people’s experiences of using mobile phones too much and how it affected their daily life.

Objective- To examine the mobile phone usage habits of individuals in their daily routine.To identify behavioural patterns such as losing track of time while using mobile phones.

Literature Review-  According to a study by Liu et al. (2026), procrastination is greatly influenced by mobile phone addiction. The detrimental impacts of cell phone addiction on academic behaviour might be lessened by a good parent-child bond.

The study by Yu et al. (2026) that mobile phone addiction contributes to sleep delay among adolescents, with physical exercise influencing this relationship. Future research should include larger samples and additional factors.

Data Collection- For our problem we have chosen the topic as “MOBILE ADDICTION”. We have framed 5 questions to be asked on Likert scale. Google form was framed with linear option. 1 as strongly disagree and 5 as strongly agree for each question. The google form was personally shared with our classmates, colleagues, family, friends and relatives in confidence after surveying 100 persons/ people, responses were downloaded in excel sheet. For each question Mean, Standard Deviation (SD), Standard Error (SE) and Z (T Stat) were calculated. The Questions/ Statement are as follows:

Conclusion-  

People are neutral towards checking their mobile phone immediately after waking up.

People use mobile phone late at night before sleeping.

People are neutral towards spending more time on mobile phone than on studies or work.  

People are neutral towards using mobile phones during meals.

People are neutral towards losing track of time while using mobile phone.
