INTRODUCTION      :    The global information technology (IT) industry plays a vital role in shaping modern economies by driving innovation, improving efficiency, and enabling digital transformation across sectors. Leading IT companies such as Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), IBM, and Infosys have significantly influenced the development of software, hardware, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and IT services worldwide. These organizations are recognized not only for their technological advancements but also for their global reach, strong research capabilities, and ability to adapt to rapidly changing market demands. Together, they represent the forefront of technological progress and continue to shape the future of the digital world.

 

 

OBJECTIVE              : 

The primary objective of this study is to examine and compare leading global information technology companies—Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), IBM, and Infosys—in terms of their business models, technological innovations, market presence, and contributions to the global IT industry. The study also aims to understand how these companies drive digital transformation, maintain competitive advantage, and influence economic and technological development worldwide.

 

 

LITRATURE REVIEW : 

1.      Previous studies highlight that Microsoft and Google (Alphabet) have played a crucial role in advancing cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and productivity software, significantly influencing digital transformation across industries.

2.      Research on IBM and Infosys emphasizes their strengths in enterprise solutions, IT consulting, and outsourcing services, noting their contributions to business process optimization and global technological development.

 

DATA COLLECTION : To understand Microsoft Google (Alphabet) IBM Infosys “Leading Global Information Technology Companies”, ratings were collected on a scale ranging from 1 to 10. A total of 40 students participated in the survey, and the collected data were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) to identify any significant differences in IT sector  preference.

CONCLUSION : IF P VALUE OF F IS 0.18 i.e GREATER 0.05 THEREFORE WE WILL ACCEPT (H0).
