Introduction
The automobile industry is one of the most significant contributors to India’s economic growth, employment generation, and technological advancement. It supports allied industries such as steel, rubber, electronics, and petroleum. With increasing income levels and urbanization, the Indian automobile market has expanded rapidly.
Major automobile companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai Motor India, and Mahindra & Mahindra compete on parameters like product quality, pricing, fuel efficiency, and after-sales service.
This study compares user ratings of selected automobile companies using One-Way ANOVA to determine whether there is a significant difference in consumer perception.
Objectives of the Study
1. To study user perception of selected automobile companies in India.
2. To compare user ratings of Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai Motor India, and Mahindra & Mahindra.
3. To examine whether a significant difference exists using One-Way ANOVA.
Literature Review
SIAM (2022) stated that consumer preferences in the automobile sector depend on reliability, mileage, pricing, and service quality.
Sharma & Kapoor (2021) observed variation in customer satisfaction across automobile brands due to differences in product offerings and service networks.
ICRA (2023) highlighted that well-established automobile brands enjoy higher trust and loyalty.

Data Analysis
Conclusion
Since the calculated F-value (13.89) is greater than the critical F-value (2.66) and the p-value is less than 0.05, the null hypothesis is rejected. This confirms that a statistically significant difference exists in user ratings among Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai Motor India, and Mahindra & Mahindra.
