Objectives of this study
To calculate the beta of Adani Green Energy ltd and observe its significance.
Data collection
The historical data of Adani Green Energy ltd and nifty 50 index data was downloaded from the website from the period 1/12/24 to 30/11/25. The data was manipulated to get Friday closing prices.
Data analysis
The intercept = a = -207.62567
Coeffecient = -bx = 0.04505174
a + bx = -207.62567+0.04505174x
The above equation tells us the relationship between nifty 50 and equity of Adani Green Energy ltd, positive sign means if equity of Nifty 50 rises by 1 unit then Adani Green Energy ltd will rise by 0.04505 units.
t-stat for beta is 4.78185888, p value of which is 1.82/100000 is less than 1% , which means beta coefficient is statistically significant at the 1% level. This confirms that the relationship between Nifty %0 and Adani green Energy Ltd is statistically reliable. R² = 0.332 Approximately 33.2% of the variation in Adani green Energy Ltd is explained by movements in the Nifty 50, while the remaining 66.8% is explained by other firm-specific and macroeconomic factors. Conclusion
The regression results show a statistically significant positive relationship between the equity of Muthoot Finance and the Nifty 50. Although the model explains a moderate portion of variation (33.2%), it is reliable overall, indicating that changes in Muthoot Finance equity have a meaningful impact on the Nifty 50.
