Literature Review:

Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has gained significant attention since 2000, becoming a decisive factor in the sustainable development of enterprises. CSR not only enhances corporate image and reputation but also positively impacts the community and business performance. Previous studies have explored CSR at a macro level (Aguinis & Glavas, 2012; Kim et al., 2017), but a micro-level focus on employee behavior is still limited (Liu et al., 2023).

Corporate Social Responsibility and the Role of Rural Women in Nigeria

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been increasingly recognized as a key factor in promoting rural development and empowering women, especially in Nigeria, where agriculture remains the primary livelihood for rural communities. CSR initiatives are implemented by corporations to address socio-economic disparities and provide essential support to marginalized groups, including rural women. This literature review synthesizes existing research on CSR’s impact on rural women in Nigeria, exploring theoretical foundations, major CSR interventions, challenges, and recommendations for sustainable engagement.

Data Analysis:

  Equation: Delta Corp Ltd = (Y = -0.814 + 1.258X)

The regression equation (Y = -0.814 + 1.258X) describes the relationship between Nifty50 (X) and delta corp. share price (Y), indicating that Delta corp share price is the dependent variable, while Nifty50 is the independent variable. The positive coefficient of 1.636 suggests that for every unit increase in Nifty50, the Delta corp share price is expected to increase by 1.26 units. With 47 observations ((N = 47)), the model’s R-squared value is 0.2003151337, implying that approximately 20.03 % of the variation in Delta corp share price can be explained by changes in Nifty50, leaving 90.95% of the variation attributable to other factors not included in the model. The p-value for the slope is 0.1957584189, which is greater than the conventional threshold of 0.05, indicating that the relationship between Nifty50 and delta share price is not statistically significant at the 5% level. Consequently, this model does not provide strong evidence to suggest a significant linear relationship between Nifty50 and Delta Corp share price.

Conclusion:

Delta Corp share beta of 1.26 indicates that it is more volatile than the market and better suited for short-term investment.
