Author: Pratiksha Gandhi

Introduction: In the highly competitive food market, customer satisfaction is a key indicator of a brand’s success and popularity. Lay’s, Uncle Chipps, Balaji Wafers, and Pringles are iconic snack brands, each renowned for their signature potato chips and distinct market appeal. Lay’s, a global leader owned by PepsiCo, offers a wide variety of flavors worldwide, while Uncle Chipps, also under PepsiCo, holds a nostalgic place in the Indian snack market. Balaji Wafers, an Indian brand, has gained popularity with its affordable, flavorful offerings across India. Pringles, known for its unique stackable chips and cylindrical packaging, has a global fan base, offering consistent quality and a wide range of flavors.

Objective: “To compare the ratings of four Chips brands.”

Data Collection: I gathered feedback from my friends about four Chips brands :Lay’s, Bingo, Uncle chipps, and Balaji Wafers and asked them to rate each brand on a scale from 1 to 5. To analyze the collected data, a one-way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used to determine if there are significant differences among the four brands.

Data Analysis: The ANOVA: Single Factor test was performed to compare the ratings of four brands.

The hypotheses for the test are:

  • Null Hypothesis (H0): All are same.
  • Alternate Hypothesis (H1): Anyone of them is different.

The results of the ANOVA: Single Factor test are as follows:

The above table shows P vale as 0.89 which is more than 0.05 which means NULL Hypothesis is accepted.

Conclusion: All are same.
