INTRODUCTION:

With the rapid growth of technology and lifestyle changes, online food delivery services have become a vital part of everyday life. Consumers increasingly prefer the convenience of ordering food from their favourite restaurants with just a few clicks. This survey was conducted to understand the popularity, user satisfaction, and key factors influencing the use of online food delivery services. Through this analysis, we aim to explore customer preferences, the challenge they face, and the impact of these services on the food industry.

 

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this survey is to explore consumer preferences related to online food delivery services, identify factors influencing their choice of service, and analyse satisfaction levels.

 

LITERATURE REVIEW:

 

1.Kim and Park (2020): Their research on online food delivery services found that convenience, variety, and ease of use were the key reasons customers preferred these services. However, issues like delivery time and food quality were common concerns.

2.Lee and Zhao (2018): This study focused on the impact of service quality and customer satisfaction in online food delivery, highlighting that user-friendly interfaces, reliability, and timely deliveries contributed significantly to customer loyalty.

 

 

DATA COLLECTION:

The survey was conducted using Google Forms to gather insights into consumer preferences and experiences with online food delivery services. A total of 120 respondents participated in the survey, which included five key questions aimed at understanding the frequency of use, satisfaction levels, and factors influencing the choice of food delivery services.

The responses were collected using a Likert scale where:

Strongly Agree – 5

Agree – 4

Neutral – 3

Disagree – 2

Strongly Disagree – 1

 

SURVEY QUESTIONS:

  1. I prefer online delivery+ over visiting restaurants.
  2. Delivery charges are reasonable.
  3. Online Delivery App offers are better than restaurants offer.
  4. Online delivery provides better services than restaurants.
  5. Online delivery services have improved in the past years.

CONCLUSION:

  1. Consumers prefer online delivery over visiting restaurants.
  2. Consumers believe Delivery charges are reasonable.

  5. Consumers believe Online delivery services have improved in the past years.

 

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  1. Improve Delivery Speed: Since delivery speed is a critical factor for most consumers, online food delivery services should focus on optimizing logistics and delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
  2. Enhance Customer Service: Ensuring quick resolution of complaints and improving customer interaction can help increase satisfaction and customer loyalty.
  3. Reduce Technical Issues: Improving the performance of apps and websites by addressing technical glitches will enhance the overall user experience.
  4. Maintain Food Quality: Consistently high food quality is key to consumer satisfaction, and partnerships with restaurants should emphasize maintaining this standard during delivery.
