INTRODUCTION:

Management institutions frequently organize events, such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and festivals, to facilitate knowledge sharing, networking, and community engagement. Effective and Efficient event management is crucial for the success of creating a vibrant campus leading to more students participation and overall improvement of a student.

 

OBJECTIVE:

To understand the underline phenomena of college events and analyse its Impact on college students’ overall development, focusing on their enjoyment, the variety and organization of events, and the convenience of event timings.

 

LITERATURE REVIEW:

PROMOTING CAMPUS ACTIVITIES: ENCOURAGING STUDENT’S PARTICIPATION:

In research paper, Lubes and Joyce study how campus activities influence student development and persistence. They collected data from 516 students at a Great Plains public university revealed low participation, influenced by students’ year, living situation, and other involvements. The research highlights the importance of campus activities in boosting economic success and student retention.

 

EFFECTS OF EVENTS MANAGEMENT ON STUDENTS’ SOCIAL LIFE AT ASHEI UNIVERSITY COLLEGE:

In the research paper, the study examines how the Ashesi Students Council (ASC) can better manage campus events to boost student participation and social life. Despite efforts, event attendance is low. Through interviews with students, alumni, and staff, the research identifies ways to improve event management. It concludes with recommendations for creating a vibrant, socially active campus.

 

DATA COLLECTION:

For the above problem we framed 5 questions on Likert Scale 1 to 5 where 1 is Strongly Disagree and 5 is Strongly Agree. Data is gathered from students of ITM Business School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai using Google Forms and 106 Students were surveyed for each question. For each question, Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error were calculated.

Students AGREE that they enjoy participating in College Events.

Students AGREE and affirmative that College organizes a variety of events for students.

Students AGREE that College Events has had helped them in their overall development.

Students have a NEUTRAL view on the convenience of College Event timings.

Students AGREE that College Events are well organized.
