Problem:
Every Year Millions of students Migrate from their hometowns for their Higher studies and one of the major problem they faces new cities is not getting hygienic food, People take monthly meal plan or tiffin services to just save their time but contrary to this they compromise with the food quality. Leaving home for education is exciting, but the reality of unhygienic mess food can quickly dampen spirits. Millions face this struggle, battling repetitive, low-quality meals that impact both health and well-being. It’s a challenge that deserves attention and innovative solutions to ensure students thrive, not merely survive.
Objective: To understand the underlying phenomenon of students are not getting nutritional food.
Literature review: College canteen issues, encompassing food quality, variety, cleanliness, accessibility, pricing, and sustainability, impact student satisfaction and well-being. Addressing these concerns through improved management strategies and sustainable practices is crucial for enhancing the overall canteen experience.
Test Hypothesis:
Ho: µ =5
Ho: µ ≠5
Data Collection:
1)Do students get hygienic food?
2) Do students compromise in food quality?
3) Do Timeliness of service affects students schedule ?
4) Do students get variety and choices in food served?
5) Do students get difficulties in giving feedback for food served?
These 5 questions are asked in google form to students and for every question standard deviation, Standard error, mean and T-stat was Calculated.
Data Analysis:
1)Do students get hygienic food?
S.D.=1.15 S.E.=0.53 Mean=2.78 t-stat=-3.31
2) Do students compromise in food quality?
S.D.=1.9 S.E.=0.65 Mean=2.3 t-stat=-3.35
3) Do Timeliness of service affects students schedule ?
S.D.=1.25 S.E.=0.65 Mean=2.33 t-stat=-3.28
4) Do students get variety and choices in food served?
S.D.=1.39 S.E.=0.68 Mean=2.32 t-stat=-2.76
5) Do students get difficulties in giving feedback for food served?
S.D.=1.67 S.E.=0.97 Mean=2.56 t-stat=-2.97
Conclusion:
1)Do students get hygienic food?
- t-stat is -3.31 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means canteen food quality is not good.
 
2) Do students compromise in food quality?
- t-stat is -3.35 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means hygiene is not good.
 
3) Do Timeliness of service affects students schedule?
- t-stat is -3.28 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means freshness of food is not good.
 
4) Do students get variety and choices in food served?
- t-stat is -2.76 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means variety is not there.
 
5) Do students get difficulties in giving feedback for food served?
- t-stat is -2.97 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means mess timing is not up to the mark.
