Introduction:

       This research delves into a common challenge faced by college students, the unavailability of rickshaws for commuting from the railway station to the college. The absence of convenient transportation options directly affects the punctuality of students in reaching their college on time. By examining the impact of this issue, we aim to shed light on the significance of reliable transportation in students’ academic routines.

Objective:

      To understand how the unavailability of rickshaws from railway stations to college influences student punctuality and suggest potential solutions.

Literature Review:

     The challenge of students facing difficulties in accessing rickshaws from railway stations to college adversely affects their punctuality. This issue is rooted in the inadequate availability of transportation options. As a result, students encounter delays and risk missing valuable educational opportunities due to inconsistent commute options. Addressing this transportation gap is essential to ensure students’ timely arrival at college.

Data Collection:

     For gathering data, we designed a questionnaire containing 5 simple queries. A table was set up to record student feedback. Personally engaging with 100 students, we obtained their viewpoints. The questions were centered on the challenges encountered by students due to insufficient availability of rickshaws for their journey from the railway station to college. Utilizing a likert scale (-2 to +2) – where (-2 = Strongly Disagree, -1 = Disagree, 0 = Neutral, +1 = Agree, +2 = Strongly Agree) – we gauged their responses.

Questions:

  1. Getting suitable transportation from the station to college is difficult for me.
  2. My travel to college often has delays due to transportation issue.
  3. Transportation costs to college are burdensome for me.
  4. As a newcomer, I struggle with transport information.
  5. My waiting times for public transport to college are long.

Conclusion:

Q1: Difficulty in finding suitable transportation affects college students’ punctuality.
