Introduction:
In a city like Mumbai which is heavily dependent on public transport, the monsoon creates havoc. Students travel by local trains, buses and auto-rickshaws. When it rains incessantly in the city, public transport is usually at halt. The trains are running late, buses get stuck in potholes or due to water-logging and it is difficult to commute. In this survey we will learn about the issues students face while using public transport during monsoon.
Objective: To understand the underlying issue students face while using public transport (local trains, buses, auto rickshaws) during monsoon.
Literature Review:
Meng ZHOU a, b, Donggen WANG a, Qingquan LI b, Yang YUE b, Wei TU b, Rui CAO et al speak about how weather impacts the public transportation. Having alternate routes does not help people and they are stuck in public transport. The study also explains how metro cities are more prone to this challenge.
Arti R Soni, Munish K Chandel et al speak about the climate change and rainfall. The study clearly mentions that how rainfall severely and how the transportation comes to a halt.

4) I did not feel safe using public transport.
5) I got stuck in public transport when it was halted.
100 students were surveyed.
For each Question – Mean. Standard deviation, Standard Error and Z has been calculated.
