ANOVA Analysis of Football clubs

Title: ANOVA Analysis of Football clubs

INTRODUCTION: This report analyzes the performance and popularity of four prominent football clubs—FC Barcelona (Spain), Real Madrid FC (Spain), Manchester United (England), and Bayern Munich (Germany)—using a one-way ANOVA to determine if there are significant differences in fan’s satisfaction. By examining these results, we aim to understand the unique attributes of each club’s contribution to their fan base’s satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. The findings will enhance our understanding of fan preference and inform quality evaluation in the football industry.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the fan’s satisfaction of four football clubs (FC Barcelona, Real Madrid FC, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich) in the category of overall performance and fan preference, with the aim of identifying significant differences in their quality and popularity.

DATA COLLECTION: To gather relevant data, a survey was conducted among a group in a class of finance. Participants rated each club on a scale of 1 to 10, allowing us to capture their opinions and ratings related to the four clubs. The collected data was then analyzed to assess differences in ratings among the clubs, providing insights into their relative strengths and areas for fan preference.

HYPOTHESIS:

Null Hypothesis (H0): There is no significant difference in the fan’s satisfaction ratings.

Alternative Hypothesis (H1): There is a significant difference in the fan’s satisfaction ratings.

CONCLUSION: As the P-value of the hypothesis is 0.00572, which is less than 0.05, we accept the Alternative hypothesis, meaning at least one of the clubs is significantly different.

Based on the ANOVA results, there is sufficient evidence to conclude that there are significant differences in fan’s satisfaction among the four football clubs. This suggests that at least one of the clubs has significantly different performance and fan’s preference compared to the others.
