Introduction: College canteen has problems like not-so-good food and not enough choices, making students unhappy. It’s also not very clean, and sometimes it’s hard to get there or it’s closed at weird times. The food costs a lot, which is tough for some students. Plus, they use stuff that’s not good for the environment. To fix this, they need better food, cleaner places, easier ways to get there, fair prices, and things that don’t hurt the planet. Making these changes will make the college canteen better for everyone.
Objectives: To understand the underlying phenomena of this problem.
Literature review: College canteen issues, encompassing food quality, variety, cleanliness, accessibility, pricing, and sustainability, impact student satisfaction and well-being. Addressing these concerns through improved management strategies and sustainable practices is crucial for enhancing the overall canteen experience.
Testing of Hypothesis:
Ho: μ=4
H1: µ≠4
Data collection:
- How satisfied are you with the quality of food served in the canteen?
 - How satisfied are you with the hygiene of the canteen?
 - How satisfied are you with the freshness of the food?
 - Are you served with variety of food?
 - Are you satisfied with the mess timings?

These 5 questions are asked in google form to students and for every question standard deviation, standard error, mean and t-stat was calculated.
Data analysis:
- How satisfied are you with the quality of food served in the canteen?

S.D.=1.18 S.E.=0.58 Mean=2.04 t-stat=-3.39
- How satisfied are you with the hygiene of the canteen?

S.D.=1.2 S.E.=0.55 Mean=2.19 t-stat=-3.29
- How satisfied are you with the freshness of the food?

S.D.=1.19 S.E.=0.53 Mean=2.23 t-stat=-3.32
- Are you served with variety of food?

S.D.=1.27 S.E.=0.56 Mean=2.28 t-stat=-3.08
- Are you satisfied with the mess timings?

S.D.=1.43 S.E.=0.48 Mean=2.99 t-stat=-2.11
Conclusion:
- How satisfied are you with the quality of food served in the canteen?

- t-stat is -3.39 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means canteen food quality is not good.

- How satisfied are you with the hygiene of the canteen?

- t-stat is -3.29 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means hygiene is not good.

- How satisfied are you with the freshness of the food?

- t-stat is -3.32 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means freshness of food is not good.

- Are you served with variety of food?

- t-stat is -3.08 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means variety is not there.

- Are you satisfied with the mess timings?

- t-stat is -2.11 which means we reject the null hypothesis and t is negative less than 1.96. It means mess timing is not up to the mark.
