Introduction–
We know the Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi & Chennai are the big cities which located in India.
a) Mumbai– Mumbai, also known as Bombay, is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India with an estimated city proper population of 12.5 million (1.25 crore) and is the financial, commercial, and entertainment capital of India. Mumbai lies on the Konkan coast on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbor. The city houses important financial institutions and the corporate headquarters of numerous Indian companies and multinational corporations.[1]
b) Bangalore– Bangalore, officially known as Bengaluru, is the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It has a population of more than 8 million and a metropolitan population of around 11 million, making it India’s third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is located on the Deccan Plateau, at a height of over 900 m (3,000 ft) above sea level. Its elevation is the highest among India’s major cities.[2]
c) Delhi– Delhi, officially known as the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, is a city and a union territory of India containing New Delhi, the capital of India. The city is located in north-central India and consists of two components: Old Delhi, in the north, the historic city; and New Delhi, in the south, since 1947 the capital of India, built in the first part of the 20th century as the capital of British India. Delhi sits astride (but primarily on the west bank of) the Yamuna River, a tributary of the Ganges (Ganga) River, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the Himalayas.[3]
d) Chennai– Chennai, formerly known as Madras, is the capital city of the southernmost Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the state’s primate city both in area and population and is located on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. According to the 2011 Indian census, Chennai is the sixth-most populous city in India and forms the fourth-most populous urban agglomeration. The city is known as the “Gateway to South India” and is a major administrative and cultural center.[4]
Objective– To compare the grade for four cities.
Data Collection– Twenty five Students of Kohinoor Business School, Kurla were asked to give grade for four cities- Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi & Chennai.
