Introduction:

We are conducting a survey to help us better understand how the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is affecting people’s lives. To help us better understand how people’s physical, economic and mental health are being affected. We have surveyed people about their possible exposure to the virus, their experiences and how people’s lives have changed as a result of COVID-19.

Objectives:

To understand the underlying phenomenon of effect of Covid-19 on Physical health of an Individual

Literature Review:
1. Rogers, S. L. et al (2021), investigated loneliness during the pandemic and have been reporting mixed findings. The study aims to contribute to the emerging literature on the mental and physical health impacts of government mandated lockdown policies on the public during COVID-19. The main aims of this study are to contribute to the growing body of literature that indicates government mandated lockdown policies can have potential negative consequences for public mental and physical health. The study within an Australian sample is consistent with emerging literature around the world that lockdown experiences during COVID-19 are associated with decreased emotional and physical well-being for a substantial proportion of individuals. By this study author found evidence to suggest that despite such stressors, people were using technology to stay connected with others so that overall, there was not any major impact on social relationships for most individuals in our study.

2. Q. G., PhD., Duncan, et al (2021) Physical activity is an important health behavior, due to its association with many physical and mental health conditions. During distressing events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a concern that physical activity levels have been negatively impacted. During the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly all aspects of society were impacted. Lockdowns with social isolation measures may result in higher levels of stress and a decline in physical activity. The aim of this study is to investigate changes in physical activity reported through the 10,000 Steps program and changes in engagement with the program during the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic had a negative effect on physical as well as mental health of each individual in the society. However the effect on physical health was not small, but its activity level is recovering after the lockdown.
