Music is an integral part of Indian culture, showcasing its diversity and rich heritage. Singers play a crucial role in the entertainment industry by influencing musical trends and connecting with audiences emotionally. Over time, Indian music has evolved from traditional forms to modern styles, reaching a wide audience. With the growth of digital platforms, singers now gain popularity and recognition on a global scale. This report focuses on analyzing and rating singers in India based on their talent, popularity, and overall impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

To compare selected 4 Indian singer\u2019s popularity using Google Form ratings and test significance with One-Way ANOVA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sataloff et al. (2000) discuss the evaluation of professional singers, focusing on vocal health, diagnostic methods, and clinical assessment. The study highlights the importance of proper voice care in maintaining performance and preventing vocal disorders. It also emphasizes early detection of voice problems to avoid long-term damage. Additionally, the research underlines the role of regular monitoring in ensuring vocal longevity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gopal et al. (2008) explore the global reach of Bollywood music and dance, highlighting how Hindi songs have travelled across cultures and audiences worldwide. The study emphasizes the role of media and diaspora in popularizing Bollywood music beyond India. It also shows how these musical forms contribute to cultural exchange and global entertainment trends.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Data Collection-<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Data was collected using a Google Form where respondents rated four Indian singers: Shreya Ghoshal, Neha Kakkar, Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh. Ratings were given on a scale of 1 to 10. Total 30 personal responses were collected. The data was entered into Microsoft Excel and analysed using one way ANOVA to identify any significant differences in preferences. <\/span><\/p>\n

6. Conclusion-<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Since the p-value (0.000000) is less than 0.05 and F (<\/span>46.79919)<\/span>> F-critical (<\/span>2.682809)<\/span>, we reject the null hypothesis (H0).<\/span><\/p>\n

This means we accept H1: not all singers ratings are equal. <\/span>Since there is a significant difference in ratings, it can be concluded that audience preferences clearly vary among singers. Arijit Singh is the most preferred singer based on this survey.<\/span><\/p>\n
