Shampoo is an essential hair care product used to clean the scalp and maintain healthy hair. It helps remove dirt, excess oil, and dandruff, making hair fresh and manageable. In India, a wide variety of shampoo brands are available to suit different hair types and needs, such as dry, oily, or damaged hair. Popular brands like Sunsilk, Dove, Head & Shoulders, and Clinic Plus are commonly used. This research focuses on understanding different shampoo products, their ingredients, and their effects on hair health.<\/span><\/p>\n

Literature review:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

[<\/span>1] Kumar S. (2020) states that shampoo brands such as Clinic Plus and Sunsilk dominate the Indian market due to affordability and wide accessibility. The study explains that these brands effectively meet everyday hair care needs of consumers.<\/span><\/p>\n

[2] Sharma R. (2019) explains that premium brands like Pantene and Head & Shoulders are preferred for specific issues such as dandruff and hair fall. The research highlights that advertising and product specialization influence consumer choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Data collection:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The study was conducted to compare the ratings of four shampoo brands\u2014Sunsilk, Clinic Plus, Dove, and Head & Shoulders\u2014based on student preferences. A Google Form survey was used to collect data, where 30 students rated each shampoo on a scale of 1 to 10 according to their experience or liking. All responses were recorded in a spreadsheet, resulting in a total of 120 ratings, with 30 ratings for each shampoo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collected data were analyzed using single-factor ANOVA to determine whether there were significant differences among the average ratings of the four shampoos. The mean ratings were 6.433 for Sunsilk, 6.700 for Clinic Plus, 6.900 for Dove, and 6.833 for Head & Shoulders, with variances ranging from 4.737 to 6.351. The ANOVA results showed an F-value of 0.2244, which is smaller than the critical F-value of 2.6828, and a P-value of 0.8793, which is much higher than the significance level of 0.05. These results indicate that the differences between the shampoo ratings are not statistically significant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Based on the analysis, there is no significant difference in the ratings of the four shampoos. Although Dove had the highest mean rating and Sunsilk the lowest, the differences are minimal compared to the variation within the responses. This suggests that the students perceived all four shampoos similarly, and no shampoo can be conclusively identified as the most preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n
