Data for Nifty 50 and the selected stock was downloaded from nseindia.com for the period 1\/1\/2025 to 31\/12\/2025. Friday closing prices for Nifty 50 and the selected stock were calculated. Weekly returns of Nifty 50 were taken as X and weekly return of the selected stock were taken as Y. Y was regressed on X.<\/p>\n

N = 48\u2003\u2003\u2003\u2003 R Square = 0.0721<\/p>\n

The above equation shows the relationship between NSE and the selected stock. Positive Beta means there is a direct relationship which means if NSE increases, the stock also tends to increase and vice versa. However, the relationship is weak as R square is 0.0721, meaning only 7.21% variation is explained by the model. Since the p-value is greater than 0.05, Beta is not statistically significant at 5% level. Therefore, the stock does not strongly depend on market movements.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/p>\n
B > 0, hence invest for short term, but due to weak relationship results may not be highly reliable.<\/p>\n
