Introduction:
<\/b>This research examines the level of academic stress experienced by students in their academic environment. It explores the challenges students face due to heavy academic syllabus, examinations, pressure to achieve high grades and multiple academic deadlines. These factors can contribute to anxiety and mental exhaustion, affecting student’s overall well-being and academic performance. By analyzing these aspects, the study of \u2018Examination Stress Among Students\u2019 aims to understand the impact of academic stress on students and highlight the key factors contributing to it.<\/p>\n

Objective:
<\/b>To understand the underlying cause of academic stress among students and its impact on their mental well-being and academic performance.<\/p>\n

Literature Review:
<\/b>1. Academic Stress and Its Impact on Student Performance<\/span><\/p>\n

Academic stress is widely recognized as a major challenge faced by students in higher education. Research indicates that high levels of stress and anxiety negatively affect student\u2019s academic achievement, motivation and cognitive functioning. Factors such as heavy academic workload, examinations, and pressure to achieve high grades are identified as major contributors to academic stress. Prolonged academic stress can also reduce students engagement in studies and negatively influence their overall academic performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Academic Stress and Student Mental Well-Being<\/span><\/p>\n

It is observed that academic stress is also closely related to student’s mental health and emotional well-being. Studies show that academic expectations, examinations and tight deadlines often lead to anxiety, emotional exhaustion and mental fatigue among students. These stressors can significantly affect students psychological well-being and their ability to perform effectively in academic activities. Understanding these factors is important to develop strategies that can support students in managing academic stress.<\/span><\/p>\n


Data Collection:
<\/b>For our problem we framed following five questions to be asked on Likert Scale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Q 1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I experience stress due to heavy academic syllabus. <\/span><\/p>\n

Q 2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Examinations create anxiety during my academic term. <\/span><\/p>\n

Q 3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I experience pressure to achieve high grades. <\/span><\/p>\n

Q 4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I struggle to manage multiple academic deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Q 5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Continuous studying leads to mental exhaustion for me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Google form was framed with linear options, 1 as strongly disagree and 5 as strongly agree for each question. The google form was personally shared with our classmates and colleagues in confidence. After surveying 100 persons, responses were downloaded in Excel Sheet and for each question Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error and Z (T-stat) were calculated.
