Introduction:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In urban areas, traffic noise from vehicles, horns, and road activity is very common. Such noise can create distractions for students while studying. Continuous noise may reduce student\u2019s ability to concentrate and affect their learning efficiency. And therefore we are conducting this study.<\/span><\/p>\n

Objective:<\/span><\/b> To understand the effect of Traffic Noise on student\u2019s concentration while studying<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Literature Review:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Traffic Noise Impact<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n

Farhad Khajehnasiri (2022) studied how traffic noise affects students\u2019 mental performance. The study found that traffic noise reduces students\u2019 concentration, makes tasks harder to complete, and increases stress while studying.<\/span> The study concluded that high levels of traffic noise can reduce concentration and negatively affect students\u2019 ability to study effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Noise and Learning<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n

A.Kahkashan and V. Shivakumar (2015) studied the effect of traffic noise around schools on students\u2019 attention and memory. The study found that students in noisy areas had lower attention and weaker memory compared to students studying in quiet environments.<\/span> The study concluded that constant traffic noise can disturb students and reduce their ability to concentrate on their studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Data Collection:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

For our problem we framed following 5 questions to be asked on Likert\u2019s Scale. Google form was framed with linear option \u2013 1 as Strongly Disagree and 5 as Strongly Agree for each question. The Google form was personally shared with our classmates and colleagues in confidence. After surveying 100 people, responses were downloaded in Excel Sheet. For each question- Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D), Standard Error (S.E) and Z (T State) were calculated.<\/span><\/p>\n
