INTRODUCTION:<\/b><\/p>\n
Career choice is one of the most important decisions in a student\u2019s life, influencing their future education, profession, and overall lifestyle. With increasing career opportunities, students are exposed to multiple fields such as Tax, Corporate Finance, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity. Each field offers different academic challenges, job prospects, financial rewards, and personal fulfilment. Understanding students\u2019 career preferences helps educators, career counsellors, and policymakers design better guidance programs and academic curricula.<\/p>\n
This study attempts to analyse and compare students\u2019 preferences toward selected career streams\u2014 as Tax, Corporate Finance, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity\u2014using primary data collected through a Google Form survey and statistically examined through Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).<\/p>\n
OBJECTIVE:<\/b><\/p>\n
To compare students\u2019 preferences for Tax, Corporate Finance, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity streams using ANOVA based on survey responses.<\/p>\n
LITERATURE REVIEW:<\/b><\/p>\n
1. Super (1980)<\/b> emphasized that career choice is a developmental process influenced by personal interests, abilities, values, and social environment. He highlighted that students\u2019 preferences evolve over time based on exposure and self-awareness.<\/p>\n
2. Holland (1997)<\/b> proposed that career preference is shaped by personality type and work environment compatibility. His theory suggests that students tend to prefer careers that align with their interests, skills, and personal traits.<\/p>\n
DATA COLLECTION:<\/b><\/p>\n
The study is based on primary data collected through a structured questionnaire using Google Forms. Respondents were asked to rate their preference for selected career streams\u2014 Tax, Corporate Finance, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity \u2014on a 1 to 10 rating scale<\/b>, where 1 indicates very low preference and 10 indicates very high preference.<\/p>\n
A total of 40 students<\/b> participated in the survey. Equal numbers of observations were maintained for each career stream to ensure balanced data, making it suitable for applying Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)<\/b> to compare preference levels across the selected streams.<\/p>\n

The ANOVA results indicate a significant difference in career preferences among Tax, Corporate Finance, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity.
