Balancing academics with extracurricular activities is essential for holistic student development. It helps individuals build time management, leadership, and teamwork skills alongside academic excellence. Engaging in diverse activities enhances creativity, confidence, and overall well-being. This balance prepares students for real-world challenges by fostering both intellectual and personal growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Literature Review 1<\/span><\/p>\n

Eccles and Barber (1999) found that participation in structured extracurricular activities improves academic performance, school engagement, and social skills. Similarly, Fredricks and Eccles (2006) reported that students involved in sports, arts, and clubs demonstrate higher motivation, better attendance, and stronger academic persistence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Literature Review 2<\/span><\/p>\n

Mahoney, Cairns, and Farmer (2003) observed that students engaged in school-based activities were less likely to drop out and more likely to maintain academic focus. Darling, Caldwell, and Smith (2005) further noted that extracurricular involvement improves time management skills and self-esteem, which positively influence academic outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Data Collection:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

To understand the underlying phenomena of the above problem 5 questions were framed on the Likert Scale: <\/span><\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I am able to manage my time effectively between academic responsibilities and extracurricular activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I believe that participating in extracurricular activities does not negatively affect my academic performance.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I can balance my academic tasks in a way that allows participation in extracurricular activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>I feel that skills developed through extracurricular activities enhance my academic studies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students of ITM college were surveyed with google form which was framed on Linear Scale, 100 students were surveyed for each question Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error and T-Stat was calculated.<\/span><\/p>\n
