Excessive and uncontrolled use of smartphones, particularly during night hours, disrupts normal sleep patterns by delaying sleep onset and reducing sleep quality. Continuous exposure to screen light and mental stimulation interferes with the body\u2019s biological clock, leading to sleep deprivation and fatigue. Therefore, examining the relationship between mobile phone addiction and sleep quality is important for understanding its impact on health and academic performance.<b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">OBJECTIVE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">To understand the underlying phenomena of Mobile Phone Addiction and Sleep Quality<b><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">LITERATURE REVIEW:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Several studies have found that excessive smartphone use, especially before bedtime, is significantly associated with poor sleep quality and shorter sleep duration among students. The blue light emitted from screens and continuous mental engagement were identified as major causes of sleep disturbance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Previous research also indicates that mobile phone addiction leads to increased stress, anxiety, and nighttime awakenings, which negatively affect overall sleep efficiency.
