Introduction:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span>Time management is a significant challenge for MBA students. Poor time management affects students\u2019 ability to strike perfect balance between personal and academic life. As a result, this challenge can negatively influence students\u2019 prospects of securing internships and full-time job offers. Hence, examining the impact of time management on the academic outcomes and placement preparedness of MBA students at ITM Business School is imperative. <\/span><\/p>\n

Objective:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

To study the impact of time management issues on the academic performance and placement preparedness of MBA students at ITM Business School.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Literature Review:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Time Management: Procrastination Tendency in Individual and Collaborative Tasks (Gafni & Geri, 2010)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In the study, the authors highlight procrastination as a major time management problem among students. Prior studies indicate that poor self-regulation and task avoidance lead to delayed academic performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Effects of Time-Management Practices on College Grades (Britton & Tesser, 1991)
<\/span><\/b>In the study, the authors examine the relationship between students\u2019 time-management practices and academic performance. The findings indicate that effective planning and positive attitudes toward time significantly contribute to higher academic achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Data Collection:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

For the above problem, five questions were framed on Likert Scale and framing questions, a Google Form was made to record responses from one hundred respondents. The Questions are following:<\/span><\/p>\n

Q1. I plan my daily activities in advance (using a timetable, planner or to-do list).<\/span><\/p>\n

Q2.\u00a0I am able to balance my academic work and personal activities effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Q3.\u00a0I spend a significant amount of my time on social media or entertainment platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Q4.\u00a0I complete my assignments and academic tasks within the given deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Q5.\u00a0I am satisfied with my overall time management as an MBA Candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Questions were framed with linear scale options from 1 to 5. 1 being Strongly Disagree, 2 being Agree, 3 being Neutral, 4 being Agree and 5 being Strongly Agree. For every question, mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error and T-Statistic were calculated.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Since T-Statistic is between -1.96 and 1.96, people are neutral about accepting that they <\/span>balance their academic work and personal activities effectively<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Since T-Statistic is between -1.96 and 1.96, people are neutral about accepting that they <\/span>spend a significant amount of time on social media or entertainment platforms as well<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Since T-Statistic is > 1.96, people accept completing<\/span> assignments and academic tasks within the given deadlines<\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Since T-Statistic is > 1.96, people accept to be <\/span>satisfied with their overall time management as an MBA Candidates<\/span><\/p>\n
