This study explores the relationship between regular attendance and academic performance. Consistent lecture participation impacts academic understanding and overall success. This research clarifies the attendance-performance nexus, informing strategies for optimal academic\u00a0achievement.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Objective:<\/u><\/strong> To understand to underlying issue of \u201cImpact of Attendance on student academic performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Literature review:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThe study highlighted how important attendance is for academic success and suggested using creative teaching methods and technology to tackle the issue of declining attendance\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe findings pointed out legitimate reasons for why students might not attend, many of which can be addressed by both learners and teachers. It stressed the importance of adapting teaching methods, assessments, and using technology to help improve attendance trends.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Data collection:<\/u><\/strong> Following questions were farmed on Likert scale with the help of google form students of ITM college. For every question, Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error, Z test was calculated.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Data analysis:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Question no-<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Regular lectures attendance improves my understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mean: 2.68<\/p>\n<p>Standard Deviation: 41.42<\/p>\n<p>Standard Error: 0.14<\/p>\n<p>Z test: 2.25<\/p>\n<p>Result: Agree<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Colleges should enforce stricter attendance policies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mean: 3.16<\/p>\n<p>Standard Deviation: 1.40<\/p>\n<p>Standard Error:0.14<\/p>\n<p>Z test: -1.14<\/p>\n<p>Result: Neutral<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Missing lectures negatively affects my academic performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mean: 2.97<\/p>\n<p>Standard Deviation: 1.26<\/p>\n<p>Standard Error: 0.13<\/p>\n<p>Z test: 0.24<\/p>\n<p>Result: Neutral<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Attendance significantly affects my grades.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mean: 2.78<\/p>\n<p>Standard Deviation: 1.24<\/p>\n<p>Standard Error: 0.12<\/p>\n<p>Z test: 1.77<\/p>\n<p>Result: Neutral<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Attendance impacts my career prospects.<strong><br \/><\/strong>Mean: 3.07<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Standard Deviation: 1.39<\/p>\n<p>Standard Error: 0.14<\/p>\n<p>Z test: -0.50<\/p>\n<p>Result: Neutral<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CONCLUSION:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Students agree that regular attendance at lectures enhances their understanding of the material.<\/li>\n<li>Students are neutral on whether colleges should enforce stricter attendance policies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Students are neutral about the impact of missing lectures on their academic performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Students are neutral about the extent to which attendance significantly affects their grades.<\/li>\n<li>Students are neutral regarding the impact of attendance on their career prospects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>Reference:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moore, Randy.
