Weekly closing prices were found out. Weekly returns of Royal Orchid hotels limited were regressed on weekly returns of nifty50.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Data Analysis:<\/u><\/strong> Format of Regression equation is Y= \u03b1 + \u03b2(X)<\/p>\n<p>The equation of regression of weekly returns of Royal Orchid Hotels Limited on weekly returns of Nifty 50 + weekly returns of Royal Orchid Hotels = <strong>-0.0823 + <\/strong><strong>1.9990<\/strong> <strong>X weekly returns of Nifty 50 index (Tstat = <\/strong><strong>3.0623)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Where,<\/p>\n<p>Number of Observations = 48,<\/p>\n<p>R Square = 0.1693<\/p>\n<p>F = 9.3779<\/p>\n<p>P-value = 0.0037<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Interpretation: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The above equation, shows the relationship between weekly returns of Nifty 50 index and weekly returns of Royal Orchid Hotels limited.<\/p>\n<p>Positive sign means direct relationship, meaning if weekly returns of Nifty 50 increases then the weekly returns of Royal Orchid Hotels limited will also increase.<\/p>\n<p>If the weekly return of Nifty 50 index rises by Rupee 1, weekly returns of Royal Orchid Hotels limited will change by 1.9990.<\/p>\n<p>Figure in the bracket is T- stat (3.0623) \u03b2, the P value for which is 0.0037, which is less than 0.05, meaning, \u03b2 is a statistically significant at 5% level.<\/p>\n<p>Number of Observations are 48, R-square value is 0.1693 meaning approximately 17% of weekly returns of Royal orchid Hotels Limited are explained by weekly returns of Nifty 50 Index.
