INTRODUCTION:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When pursuing higher education, college students frequently encounter the complexities of choosing between hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations. The environment in which students reside plays a vital role in shaping their academic experience, social interactions, and personal growth. Therefore, it is crucial for educational institutions and housing providers to understand the factors that contribute to students’ satisfaction with their living arrangements.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The objective of this study is to examine the satisfaction levels of college students with their hostels or PG accommodations. By exploring various aspects such as facilities, cleanliness, safety, social atmosphere, and overall living conditions, this research aims to gain insights into the factors that significantly impact students’ satisfaction.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The decision to opt for a hostel or PG accommodation is often influenced by multiple factors, including proximity to the college, affordability, amenities provided, and personal preferences. However, the quality of the living environment plays a crucial role in determining students’ overall satisfaction and well-being.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To <\/span><\/span>Study if college students are satisfied with hostels\/PG Accommodations or not. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LITERATURE REVIEW:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This literature review presents a comprehensive analysis of existing research on the factors that influence college students’ satisfaction with hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations. By examining peer-reviewed articles, this review identifies key determinants such as facilities, cleanliness, safety, social atmosphere, and affordability. The findings indicate that while proximity to the college and affordability are important factors in choosing accommodation, the quality of amenities and the overall living environment are crucial in determining students’ satisfaction levels. Furthermore, this review delves into the impact of socio-cultural factors, institutional policies, and technological advancements on students’ accommodation preferences and satisfaction. The synthesis of literature offers valuable insights for educational institutions and housing providers aiming to improve the quality of accommodation options for college students<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DATA COLLECTION:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The respondents’ primary data was collected using the survey method. A Google form was framed with 5 statements and circulated the same among the ITM students. The data was primarily collected by the members of the group. The sample size of this research is 101 respondents. For every statement – mean, standard deviation, standard error, and t-stat were calculated.<\/p>\n

CONCLUSION:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Statement 1 <\/span>\u2013 Students are satisfied with Current hostel\/PG accommodations.<\/p>\n

For statement 1, as T-stat is 0 which is less than 1.96, we do not accept the alternate hypothesis.<\/p>\n

It can be concluded that students are not satisfied with their current Hostel\/PG accommodations.<\/p>\n

Statement 2<\/span> \u2013 The cost of accommodation is reasonable considering the facilities provided.<\/p>\n

For statement 2, as T-stat is -0.94which is negative and alsoless than 1.96, we reject the alternate hypothesis.<\/p>\n

From the results it can be concluded that the cost of accommodation is not reasonable considering the facilities provided.<\/p>\n

Statement 3<\/span> \u2013 The facilities provided such as Wi-Fi, Laundry, and common areas, meet expectations.<\/p>\n

For statement 3, as T-stat is 0.5 which is less than 1.96, we reject the alternate hypothesis.<\/p>\n

The conclusion derived is that The facilities provided such as Wi-Fi, Laundry, and common areas, do not meet expectations<\/p>\n

Statement 4<\/span> \u2013 The hostel\/PG accommodation contributes positively to overall college experience.<\/p>\n

For statement 4, as T-stat is 2.25 which is more than 1.96, we accept the alternate hypothesis.<\/p>\n

It can be concluded that The hostel\/PG accommodation contributes positively to overall college experience.<\/p>\n

Statement 5<\/span> \u2013 The quality of food provided in the hostel\/PG accommodation is satisfactory.<\/p>\n

For statement 5, as T-stat is -3.34 which is negative and alsoless than 1.96, we reject the alternate hypothesis.<\/p>\n

From the results it can be concluded that The quality of food provided in the hostel\/PG accommodation is dissatisfactory.<\/p>\n
