Social media is a powerful tool for sharing information and raising awareness about important issues. Social media can help people find communities of like-minded individuals\u00a0.Social media can be addictive,\u00a0and it&#8217;s easy to get lost in scrolling through feeds for hours on end. \u00a0Social media can be a breeding ground for cyberbullying and harassment.\u00a0People can be cruel and anonymous online,\u00a0which can have devastating consequences for the victims. Social media can have a negative impact on mental health,\u00a0especially for young people.\u00a0Seeing images of other people&#8217;s seemingly perfect lives can lead to feelings of inadequacy and depression.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, social media is a powerful tool that can be used for good or evil. It&#8217;s important to be aware of both the positive and negative impacts of social media and to use it responsibly.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Objectives:-<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To understand the underlying phenomenon of the survey \u2013<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Psychological impacts &#8211; <\/strong>Examining the effects of social media on mental health,self-esteem,\u00a0body image,\u00a0and social comparison.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Educational impacts-\u00a0Exploring how social media affects learning,\u00a0student engagement,\u00a0and access to information.<\/li>\n<li>Health impacts-\u00a0Studying the influence of social media on health information sharing,\u00a0public health campaigns,\u00a0and health-related behaviors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>Literature Review:-<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><u>Bernard John Kolan (2018<\/u>)<\/strong>, \u201cEffect of Social Media on Academic Performance of Students in Ghanaian Universities: A Case Study of University of Ghana, Legon.\u201d Different forms of education including distance education has been widely patronized and facilitated to some degree through these social media networks. Acquiring information both locally and internationally from friends, lectures or experts is no longer a struggle as compared to the olden days and the internet is the ultimate master behind this success. \u201cSocial media is a useful servant but a dangerous master\u201d and can also be \u201cdescribed as a two edge sword\u201d and as such, users especially students must be alert about its dangers and be prudent in its utilization<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/evieasmedia\/cyberbullying-and-social-media\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Madhur Raj Jain (2012<\/u>),<\/strong> \u201cImpact of social networking sites in the changing mindset of youth on social issues-A study of Delhi-NCR youth\u201d According to this paper, It was found that these social networking sites are acting as great medium for view mobilization. People are feeling free in sharing their thoughts on any issue and even youth is raising their voice against social acts like violation of Human Rights, corruption etc. Most of the people think that youth can play a positive role in changing our society which is represent in most of the responses to different queries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><u>Data Collection:-<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have formed Five question and we have asked 100 student of Finance Batches on Likert scale where Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree and Strongly Agree where the options on the basis of which mean, standard deviation, Standard error and T-stat\/Z was calculated. This data was primarily collected by us.
