Shalimar Paint Color &amp; Varnish Company was established in 1902 in Howrah, West Bengal by two Britishers &#8211; A N Turner and A N Wright. In the same year, the company set up a large-scale manufacturing plant in Howrah, the first such plant in entire South-East Asia.Rapidly expanding its presence and reach, Shalimar soon became the country\u2019s leading paint brand. India\u2019s iconic structures like Rashtrapati Bhavan, Howrah Bridge, Vidyasagar Setu, and Salt Lake Stadium, continue to use Shalimar Paints. Further, reposing faith in us and to fuel our next phase of growth, during FY 2022-23, our Promoter group and our strategic Investor i.e. Hella Infra, have further committed an investment of Rs. 75 Crores each aggregating to Rs. 150 Crore through the issue of Warrants. Your Company has received subscription amount equivalent to 25% of the consideration i.e. Rs. 37.50 Crore towards Warrants allotted on a preferential basis. The balance 75% of the consideration shall be payable at the time of allotment of Equity Shares pursuant to exercise of right attached to the Warrants to subscribe to the Equity Shares.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ashok Kumar Gupta<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is the Director at Shalimar Paints, India\u2019s leading and most iconic paint manufacturer. In his role at the organization, Mr. Ashok Gupta oversees the overall operations of the brand while also framing successful growth strategies for the brand. While at Jindal Stainless, Mr. Ashok Gupta was deeply involved in turning the company around from a loss-making unit to a profitable business. His expertise was once again brought to the fore at APL Apollo Tubes Limited, an INR 9,000 crore company, where he recently served as the Managing Director. Under his leadership, APL Apollo Tubes Limited has consistently grown at a CAGR of 20%. Over the years, the company has grown from 2.5 lac tons facility to over 25 lac tons facility.Mr. Ashok Gupta joined Shalimar Paints in June 2018. Under his guidance the Company witnessed an impressive turnaround and led a successful rights issue worth INR 200 crore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Data Collections: &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Data is taken from 01-06-2022 to 31-07-2023. It has been downloaded from the NSE site, then Friday&#8217;s closing price was sorted and weekly returns of Nifty (i.e. X) and <\/span><b>Shalimar Paints Ltd. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(i.e. Y) were calculated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Data Analysis: &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Equation \u201cY= -0.3009+1.349(X)\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0 (t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">stat <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">= 1.6770)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">n = 50, R<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">=\u00a0 0.33, F = 24.62<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The above equation shows the relationship between the closing price of Nifty 50 (x) and the closing price of <\/span><b>Shalimar Paints Ltd. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(y) the positive sign means a positive relationship meaning if \u201cx\u201d rises \u201cy\u201d also rises and vice versa. If \u201cx\u201d rises by 1 unit, \u201cy\u201d rises by 1.34 unit. N\u00a0 means there are 50 observations, t stat for b is 4.9620 which is less than the table value (t.05,48= 2.0106) so the t stat for b is not significant @5% level.\u00a0 R2 is 0.33 which means 33% of y is explained by x.
