Introduction : Verbal Domestic Violence is an act of violence with speech, which includes a range of words or behaviors used to manipulate, intimidate & maintain power and control someone. It also includes forcefully criticizing, insulting, blaming, threating and judging another person in house. <\/p>\n
Objective : This research is aimed to estimate the magnitude of causes of verbal domestic violence on people.
\n\u2022\tNull Hypothesis- People have faced verbal domestic violence. Vs
\n\u2022\tAlternate Hypothesis- People haven\u2019t faced verbal domestic violence.<\/p>\n
Literature Review :
\n1)\tThe Impacts of Verbal Violence by Family Members on Children’s Social Emotional Aspects.
\nThe research is aimed to know the impact of verbal violence carried by members of the family on children aged around 2-4 years. When members of the family often yell, children also perform the same things & even dare to yell at other people. They will repeat the things which they have learnt from the surroundings. So, the level of emotional social maternity of family members is very influential on the development of emotional social aspects of children. With the approach to study the case it was found that people engage in verbal abuse for a variety of reasons. Family history, past experiences, personality & mental illness are a few factors that can play a role. The goal of the abuser is to control you by making you feel bad about who you are. (Hendra & etal, 2019)
\n2)\tThe role of parental education on verbal abuse and its impact on the mental health of young adults.
\nVerbal abuse is one of the domestic violence that is still underestimated because it has no direct physical effect; it has a tremendous impact on young adults\u2019 mental health. This study wanted to confirm the negative effect of verbal abuse on mental health. In addition, parental education is also predicted to play a role in young adults\u2019 mental health. Verbal abuse from parents as a youngster will impact one\u2019s mental health as a young adult. Future research is expected to look at who commits verbal abuse in more detail and increase the sample size to evaluate the effect of maternal education. (Fairuzza & etal, 2023)<\/p>\n

\nThe questions are asked on 1 to 5 on linear scale

Conclusion :
\nPeople have not seen there parents arguing with each other.
\nThere family members do speak properly with elders.
\nThere parents don\u2019t blame them for there arguments.
\nPeople haven\u2019t suffered due to trauma of verbal violence.
\nPeople sometimes yell at there parents.<\/p>\n
