\nConsequence of rote learning :
\nEducation is information based rather than knowledge based. The whole focus is on cramming information rather than understanding it and analyzing it.When rote learning is applied as the main focus of learning,it is not considered higher – level thought or critical thinking in today’s world
\nMemorization :
\nRote learning is pattern recognition. It reduces complexity to an identification problem and attempts to find the solution is hardly time to reflect upon these because of the emphasis on ‘solving problems from question banks’. This focus encourages the memorisation Comprehension of concepts is even seen as a waste of time because it stands in the way of the speed that is required to ‘crack ‘similar’ problems and thus recall ‘known’ solutions.<\/p>\n
Data collection : First we selected our title of our problem then it’s subtitle on which our main focus will be.Then we make 7 questions related to our subtitle topic which is rote learning methods . Questions are : 1)I use rote learning method just to score in exams.<\/p>\n
2)I didn’t have a deeper understanding of a subject.<\/p>\n
3)I immediately forget the facts that I have learned after the test\/exam.<\/p>\n
4)I depend on my printed notes rather then preparing by myself.<\/p>\n
5)My memorizing power has been improved.<\/p>\n
6)I easily lose focus while learning.<\/p>\n
7) I prefer rote learning method more than meaningful learning.
