Title: Relationship between Nifty and Dabur Ltd.

Introduction: The world’s largest ayurvedic and natural health care company, Dabur India is building its presence in the global consumer goods business. The company was founded by S.K. Burman in 1884. It started as an ayurvedic medicine business in a small pharmacy in eastern Kolkata. In the local language, Burman was commonly called Daktar Burman (Doctor Burman); the company’s name combines the syllables “da” and “bur.” Today, Dabur India’s products are available in more than 60 countries and span categories including hair care, skin care, health care and food. About 68% of its shares are held by the Burman family, which lets employees run the show. The company has subsidiaries in countries such as the U.K, Nepal, Egypt and Turkey; international sales make up 30% of the consolidated total. Dabur India Ltd. engages in the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods. It operates through the following segments: Consumer Care Business, Foods Business, and Other. The Consumer Care Business segment is involved in providing home care, personal care, and health care. The Foods Business segment offers packaged fruit juices, beverages, and culinary. The Other segment includes guar gum, pharma, and others. The company was founded by Saket K. Burma in 1884 and is headquartered in Ghaziabad, India.
Objective : to satisfy the health and well-being of all its customers.

Data Collection: Data for equity and Nifty has been downloaded from NSE site for the period 1st Jan ,2022 to 31st Dec 2022. The data was edited and manipulated to get Friday Closing price, weekly returns were found out of Nifty was considered as “X” and Equity was considered as “Y”.

N= 49, R^2= 0.092, F= 575.07

The P-value for this is 2.272 which is less than 0.05 meaning ‘b’ is statistically significant at 5% level.
The above relationship tells us the relationship between Nifty and Equity returns.
Conclusion: As Beta is more than 5 it is good for investment, if beta is less than 5 then it is not good for investment.
