Experience in Technical Internet Issues While
Shifting to Online Education

In this pandemic period, many students had to shift from offline to online mode for education. As a result education has changed dramatically , with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Online learning has been shown to increase retention of information and take less time.


To understand the experience of students in technical internet issues.

Literature review:

Information Technology Media and Communication can improve the quality of education.
Social distance learning creates its own challenges in the world of education which is the new normal. The teachers started making their own videos for learning and student support. They share these videos on social media like youtube,udemy,etc and also through voice notes. This is possible because of information technology with the help of computers and the internet which provides an assignment and modulus. To teach the students, teachers should stay updated with software skills using information technology.

In covid-19 pandemic various fields quickly reduced its impact which also includes their education. Indonesia has issued multiple policies regarding education and all schools are ready to try distance learning by using information technology. Self regulated learning (SRL) develops strategies in learning. It helps to accept the learning environment students and teachers are able to adopt, like Moodle, Edmodo, Google classroom, Zoom, Google meet. Students who have high skills in SRL will tend to be more successful in achieving learning goals.

Data collection:

Survey with the help of google form with a sample of 100 people.

Survey Questions:
I had a communication gap.
I faced difficulties in giving exams.
I faced difficulties with live classes.
I faced difficulties presenting my slides.
I faced difficulties in downloading files online.

Our survey starts by assessing student experience with internet technical issues in online learning. 100 students share their experience. Data Analysis is done by using a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 5 (strongly agree) to 1 (strongly disagree). The evidence indicates many students had not experienced a communication gap, difficulties in exams, difficulties with live classes, difficulties while presenting slides and difficulties in downloading files online while shifting to online education.
