COMPARISON BETWEEN TOP 4 SEARCH ENGINES BY ANOVA METHOD

> Introduction:

A search engine is a website through which users can search internet content. To do this, users enter the desired search term into the search field. The search engine then looks through its index for relevant websites and displays them in the form of a list. The search engine’s internal evaluation algorithm determines which position a website will get in the search results. Google, Bing and Yahoo are examples of popular search engines.

The study is purposely done to accomplish the objective which is to
compare four search engines. To compare anything there has to be something similar in all of them. Here their quality and popularity is to be
compared. I have selected four search engines which people use in their
daily life.

2)Bing
3)Wiki.com
4)Yahoo

>Objective:

To compare four different types of shoes by One way ANOVA.

>Data Collection:

The data has been collected from through survey and asked for rating the search engines between 1-10. Total 30 samples have been collected.

>Hypothesis Testing:

It is a method of making decision using data from controlled experiment. Means we perform this test when we make the decision about the population parameter on the bases of the sample statistic. The two terms are used in this test “Null Hypothesis” and “Alternative Hypothesis”.
Null Hypotheses normally is a claim about the population parameter that is considered to be true until it is proved false. Alternative Hypothesis is used to check the claim whether or not the Null Hypothesis is true.

The Hypothesis in the analyses of variance is normally stated like;
H0 – All the search engines are same
H1 – Anyone among them is different

>Data Analysis:

In analyses of the variance the “ANOVA” is used to check the Null Hypothesis whether or not the means of three or more populations are equal.
