Data was coded as +2, +1, 0, -1, -2. After rectifying the missing entries, data was put into an excel sheet. Calculations were done using the formulas given below:

  1. Mean = ∑ X
    N
  2. Standard Deviation = ∑(X – )2
                                             N-1
  3. Standard Error = D.

√N

  1. Z Score = X – 0
                          σ
                       √N

If Z > 1.96, people accepted the statement (Positive Response)

If Z < 1.96 and Z > -1.96, people are Neutral (Neutral Response)

If Z <-1.96, people rejected the statement (Negative Response)

  1. CONCLUSION:-

From the above survey and the data analysis, we come to a conclusion that people nowadays prefer shopping online.
We can state that because, the Z score of statements 1, 2,4,5,6 is greater than 1.96 i.e. Z > 1.96, which states that the statement had a positive response from people; whereas Z score of statement number 3 is lesser than 1.96 i.e. Z <-1.96, which states that the statement had a negative response.

From the above survey, we come to a conclusion that, nowadays online shopping is in demand. People now prefer buying things online sitting at home rather than using the traditional way of shopping i.e. visiting a shop and purchasing. It seems that online shopping might have a very bright future in India. Perception towards online shopping is getting better in India and with the use of internet, consumers can shop anywhere, anything and anytime with easy and safe payment options.
